San Francisco Style

Went up to San Francisco last weekend....beautiful city  -

spectacular views....

pristine houses, with luscious landscaping...

but why is such an amazing city so difficult to find parking?

It is like a precious commodity...parking privileges, because it is a beautiful city, with spectacular views and well kept houses.

If you are a dog however, you rule!

That's the truth!

Science applied

Got to go to the LA Science Center with a group of kids, and so much of it is designed to be interactive.

Consider the Hurricane Simulator...adding gale force winds inside the tube...something that we might not ever feel living on the West Coast. Let's try the Earthquake simulator....that's something much more familiar!

Or go inside the aquarium....see the scuba man...he's gonna come over and try to high five you!
and he will swim with all the fishes....sharks included!

But here's the main attraction....that shuttle Endeavor, with lots of media describing its missions, and engine parts.

Hope you get to see it...it's magnificent.

Jagged dance night

Funny how when you just say yes to things, interesting events crop up. Went to a girls night out with chair dancing, at a dance spot called Jagged in West LA.

The owner, Jessica did a wonderful job getting us to do the routine, and by repetition it comes off as looking somewhat right.

The chair is the perfect accessory...and makes for an awfully dramatic set piece.....
who knew that's all one needs to have fun!

Happy 4th of July - along Main Street

We had a spirited 4th of July parade in Santa Monica today....filled with kids on bikes, rebel types, the police and fire department who all marched down Main Street.
So many different entries....

And let's not forget the animals...

My favorite moment came when a Marilyn Monroe type character wheeled through....

Seeing so much joy generated by all the silliness made for an effervescent yet patriotic event. It does feel a bit like "only in LA."
