Ode to joy

Seems like a freedom trail...a wisp of the summer sun
yet fall coolness....

Drop in traffic during rush hour....sublime

No precarious contortioning....wait,stop,start.

Rooms filled with willing fun loving
set of youngsters intent on sweet fun...capes and all.

Moon light lurks thru the trees...

poolside nocturnes.

An unselfish belly laughing buddha....

reminds us that joy is a laugh away

Just need to make some space for it.

This and that...

Guess I'm looking at patterns...complimentary or contrary...

Do you ever feel just tired and just want to pull over and sleep....

well, this weekend felt like this...although I did get out there for some fun.

Life at the beach

Kick off your sandals and head down to the beach…

Ocean spray and rolling surf...

Towels on the ready..

Cat step gingerly..

Plumeria in the night air…

But I like seeing the night sky ignite in

Subtly arranged hues…cool and stony grey.

Trains in the offing.....hurtling through our quiet and brilliant skies....

Still looks like summer though

Already we're into September...but summer is reconvened in parks...

Readying for resplendent moments of afternoon sun

A funny thing happened on my way back to my side of town...

The Toy store
opens and closes at a moments notice...

I am lured in by the child's play on the outside....but no one in sight.

A few parties are underway in Alhambra's lush
arbors.

Boats, ramblers, and Star Wars folk are at the beach..

September's sunnyside just put stop/slow down back into the equation....

Labor Day - summer sign off

Plumes of smoke still lies over Los Angeles.

Labor Day signals the end of summer.

The sight of marigolds
heralds autumn is here.

But before we sign off, have a look at the bountiful
fruit and flora.

Laura Avery heads the Santa Monica Market...

we are related by 6 degrees of family.

A body worker...workin' it.

Gloria is a delightful lady, works rain or shine.

Twins in twin entwine.

Beach scene is just that...run, rinse, lollagag.....

A welcome respite from a workaday life or a time- out for those who are looking for work.

Either way, a lovely bookend to the end of summer.
