Here's a bit of a continuation on crosstowntraffic...
What's compelling
is thecomparison I find between these large
expanses of overhead concrete
and the sheer mass of dirigibles.
Dirigibles were popular in the
30's but when the Hindenberg
went down, so went the industry.
But the slow flying machines
overhead - overtaken in time by
a mangle of roads and cars
and lights and curves.
More cars than buses....each
destination pinpointed...
and commandeered by
the "get me home" ethos.
Must say I like getting
home, whenever I'm in
miles of road.
